About Foxweb
...everything you wanted to know and more
My name is James McMurrin, and I am a graduate of North Arkansas College, earning an Associates of Applied Science degree in Information Technology with an emphasis in Applied Programming. Things went well in my studies, with a 4.0 GPA and memberships in the Beta Beta Delta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and the Rho Zeta chapter of Phi Beta Lambda.
I first started programming in late 1985, but my online history started in the fall of 1996. Between those two dates, I graduated from high school, got a college degree in Computerized Accounting, and developed a career in accounting and office work for small businesses. After 1996, my online expertise grew and my website creations became increasingly sophisticated and complex. I eventually decided to return to college to pursue a career in Information Technology. I currently have an Associates Degree to prove that the experience I've developed over the years was not gotten in vain!

The beginning of the Fox
The character known as "Foxy" was created by me at the beginning of 1997 for use in a program called the Palace. I was interested in learning its scripting language, and since it was a graphical community, I needed a visual character to represent myself. I had recently seen a cartoon picture of a fox, so I used it, along with the name of "Foxy." My rapidly growing mastery of the program achieved by my scripting skills proved a good match with the fox's reputation for intelligence and cunning. The fox pictures at the top were created by a graphical artist friend as her interpretation of my "Foxy" character.
My most popular Palace script was a yahtzee game and a yahtzee variation that uses six dice. My first website, based on Palace, was created in about 1997. My last large Palace website project involved an interactive website that responds to scripts installed in various Palace servers. During its development, I created utilities or material in html, javascript, php, mysql, python, and iptscrae, with graphics created in Bryce and Paintshop Pro.
Since so much of my online website and programming experience has been inspired by the fox comparison, it was a natural choice for my new online business.
The Ozarks
The background of my picture is a good hint about the area in which I live- Harrison, Arkansas, in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. Having been "born and raised" here, I admit to an inbred prejudice about the beauty and desirability of these hills!
But whether you live in and love these hills, or whether you're in another area entirely, take a look at the services I offer and see for yourself how they can help you. I'll look forward to hearing how you would like to expand your ideas into your own Internet website
